Girl Abducted in 1995 Found Safe in Monrovia

A 22 year old woman who was kidnapped 14 years ago has been found alive, in Monrovia.  Her mother is now under arrest.  Jessica Click-Hill, then 8, was reported missing by her father, Dean Click, on Sept. 2, 1995 in Walnut Creek.

Back then Click told authorities he thought his wife, Wendy Hill took the girl.  An arrest warrant was issued for Wendy Hill, who also went by the name Gail D. Jackson, in 1996, but she disappeared before they could arrest her. In 1997 the FBI issued a second arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Eight months ago, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted law enforcement with a tip, saying Jessica Click-Hill may be in Monrovia.  The FBI found the young woman after searching the location on Tuesday. Her mother, now 52, was arrested on Wednesday at a separate location.

Police would not say whether Jessica lived alone or whether she is aware that she was a kidnapping victim.  Monrovia police assisted in the arrest.  Wendy Hill was booked Thursday morning into County Jail in Martinez. Her bail was set at $250,000.
