GOP Rep Says Trump Shares Blame for Repeal Failure

Many Republicans are pushing the blame game with the AP, with each other after the Senate’s ObamaCare “skinny” repeal bill failed overnight. One Republican said President Trump shares some of the blame for the bill’s failure.

He’s full of shit like a Christmas goose…..the GOP has control of congress, it’s their fault, for being the wimps they are.  A president can’t make laws.

“The president never laid out his core principles and didn’t sell them to the American people,” Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.) told reporters.

“[He] outsourced the whole issue to Congress,” Dent, chairman of the moderate “Tuesday Group,” said.

Well naturally he did it, as it’s your job, as a member of congress to pass legislation for his signature.

On the other end of the GOP spectrum, conservative Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) called for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to “leave his position” and “let somebody new… bold… and conservative take the reins.”

“How is [McConnell] going to get the job done on the rest of President Trump’s agenda?” Brooks asked.

Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) compared the current state of Congress to the “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” – a Gordon Lightfoot song about a boat disaster in the Great Lakes.

Trump tweeted his dismay at the bill’s failure, calling out the 48 Democrats and three Republicans who voted against the measure.
