NY AG Threatens Lawsuit if Senate Passes House ACHA Bill

Idiot Demonrat….if he can sue, that means all Demonrats can sue, if congress passes any law they don’t like. Friday Democratic New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman warned he would file a lawsuit if the Senate passed the House’s version of the American Health Care Act (ACHA).

Schneiderman argued the ACHA, passed by a slim 217-213 margin in the House on Thursday, threatened abortion rights and called it “bad public policy.” He also said it was unconstitutional because of the terminology that it “prohibited state funding.”

“In a tricky way, [it] tries to wipe out Planned Parenthood,” he said. “It’s an effort to kill off Planned Parenthood, which would impose an undue burden on women’s Constitutionally-protected rights.”

Several Republican senators reacted to the House bill with concerns including how it treated Medicaid, low-income coverage and pre-existing conditions.

“The Senate will now finish work on our bill, but will take the time to get it right,” Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, said in a statement.Unlink

Alexander also mentioned Congress needed to address the states where insurers have said they will no longer be offering plans through Obamacare to assist people if no healthcare plans were available in 2018.

As for Planned Parenthood, the Senate version of the healthcare bill will likely include changes over what the House passed, and funding the organization is an unknown.

Schneiderman indicated he hoped to avoid bringing a lawsuit over the issue.

“It doesn’t protect people with pre-existing conditions. It will cost millions of people healthcare,” he said. “I hope it’ll never become law. I hope we’ll be able to save a lot of time and trouble and not have to bring this litigation.”

You dumb ass liberal, read it, it does too, protect those with pre-existing conditions. You must be taking lessons from Pelosi, speaking before thinking and reading.
