Remember the fertilitily doctor involved in the Octomom controversy?  He has been expelled from the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.  This action was done weeks ago.  In a statement, the organization said: “Within the last few years, we have changed our by-laws to allow us take disciplinary action against members and, just this week, have expelled a member for cause.”

Dr. Michael Kamrava, was expelled weeks ago…The group has a a disciplinary committee that gathers information, we give people an opportunity to explain themselves, and they take action when necessary, and it’s a lengthy process.  They are very concerned with providing apporpriate due process.

Suleman went to the Beverly Hills doctor, whose fertility treatment led to the birth of her octuplets — and her six previous children.   West Coast IVF Clinic is run by Kamrava, who has repeatedly declined to comment about the case.  The medical society announced it was looking into the case earlier this year.

Octomom Nadya Suleman to Undergo Myomectomy to Remove Uterine Fibroids

Suleman says part of her uterus will be surgically removed after doctors discovered benign fibroids; further pregnancies will be medically impossible.  Fourteen children will be it for Nadya Suleman.  The single 33-year-old, who recently gave birth to octuplets, plans to undergo an operation to remove benign tumors from her uterus, she tells RadarOnline.com in an exclusive video interview. She says the procedure, a myomectomy, an alternative to a hysterectomy, will remove half of her uterus. The operation will also make it medically impossible for her to reproduce.

Uterine fibroids, which affect about 30% of women of reproductive age, do not always need to be treated surgically. For women who need treatment, such as Suleman, surgery has a very high success rate.

Octomom and PETA: Don’t get a dog

PETA is telling ocotomom, for the love of God, don’t get any pets.  But Nadya Suleman is indeed planning on getting a pet.

As if 14 mouths to feed with taxpayer money weren’t enough, Octomom is thinking about purchasing a pet – an idea frowned upon by PETA, which, for some reason, believes that a new member of the family is not a bright idea.

“In the economy today, and with all the demands that come with raising 14 children – we urge you to reconsider adding more dependents to your family,” PETA’s Michelle Cho wrote in a letter to Nadya Suleman.

The unemployed mother of the longest-surviving octuplets in history (and six older kids) who relies on public assistance to pay for eight nannies and other bills, said last week that she was considering adding a pet to the mix.

“For a couple of years, the kids have been asking for a dog,” Octomom said. “I’ve actually been looking into a pig, like a little one.”  PETA is begging Suleman to reconsider.

Octomom Nadya Suleman has adamently denied the claims she worked as a stripper for a year, going by the name “Angelina.”  And in an exclusive new interview with RadarOnline.  The article comes from an interview with a limosine driver, and ann eaxotic dancer named “Sage”, and the owner of a San Diego strip club as sources.  All three say they knew Nadya when she danced at what is now the Spearmint Rhino and worked at bachelor parties between 1999 and 2000.  Sage, who didn’t reveal her real name, even said “[Suleman] was overly flirty with the guys we performed for.”

Suleman claims the article is false, and even asks who are these humans?  She also insists that the closest she ever came to stripping was entering a lingerie contest at a night club at age 19. “I won,” she adds.

Suleman isn’t taking the story lying down, and says her lawyer plans to file a slander suit against the owner of the club,” There’s not one once of truth to this,” she says . As for the magazine’s claim that she tries to emulate Angelina Jolie’s look? “No offense,” she says. “But I would not want to look like this woman.”

Octuplet mom Nadya Suleman adding pet pig to huge brood?

Ocotomom is at it again….As if 14 kids weren’t enough, Nadya Suleman says she’s thinking about expanding her bumper brood – with a pet.

The unemployed mother of 14, who already relies on a team of nannies to care for her three-month-old octuplets, told Radaronline.com she’s considering giving in to her older kids’ demands for a family pet.  She said the older kids have been asking for a dog for years….and she’s been looking into a pig…..

Suleman said that if she does invest in a pig, it will live mostly outside her crowded home due to the smell, but added that she’s also considering a Pomeranian or similar tea cup pup.   Doesn’t she realize, a small dog even a teacup doesn’t stand much of a chance of survival with small hyper kids?

Nadya Suleman to Apply for Welfare

Nadya Suleman is planning to go on welfare.  She’s no longer on food stamps, so she’s moving on to the next thing!   According to the Whittier Daily News, she is thinking about applying for the federal assistance called the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.

In a statement yesterday she said if she needed to apply for WIC to provide food for her babies, then she’s going to.  WIC provides federal grants to states for food, health care referrals and nutrition education for low-income women and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.

The program would provide the octuplets, the six older children under age 8, and Suleman with baby formula, cereal, milk, cheese, vegetables and juice.

That would certainly help out with her bills! According to Kaiser, her formula bill each month would cost $2000. Suleman said her priority is to feed her children and not worry about scrutiny regarding public assistance.

She said she has to forget about what people think.  She can’t live like that.  She doesn’t want to face the fact that the reality is that the taxpayers are making it possible for her to eat and have a roof over her head.

Suleman: Wages, inheritance paid for in vitro

Well now we know how she paid for all the in vitro procedures.  Nadya Suleman says she used money from an inheritance and overtime wages from her job as a psychiatric technician to pay for her early fertilization procedures. Suleman told celebrity magazine Life & Style Weekly she spent at least $24,000 on the in vitro fertilization procedures that led to her first four babies.

She then saved money for the procedure which cost $6,000 for eachby working 16-hour days as a psychiatric technician.  Suleman said that when her aunt died, she used an undisclosed portion of her $30,000 inheritance to conceive twins. Leftover eggs from that in vitro pregnancy were frozen until she used them to give birth to the octuplets.

She didn’t give financial details about the octuplets, though in vitro fertilization using frozen eggs is generally cheaper.   After an on-the-job injury, Suleman collected more than $165,000 in state disability payments.

In the interview, Suleman vowed to protect the identity of the sperm donor but said she would like him to be part of the children’s lives. She approached the donor several years ago to help her have children and “year after year, he kept helping me.”

But she wouldn’t say whether or not they were lovers in the past, but acknowledged the donor was upset when he found out she wanted more children after already having six.

The issue containing the eight-page spread hits newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on Wednesday and nationally on Friday. The interview was conducted Saturday at Suleman’s new home in La Habra.  Life and Style Weekly did not pay for the interview, said Letena Lindsay, vice president of corporate communications of Bauer Publishing Group.

Seven of the eight babies have been discharged from the hospital. The last baby, Jonah, who was born with a small cleft on his lip, has to gain more weight before he can go home.

OctoMom Nadya Suleman Gets a Reality Show

Posted in Current Events tagged , , at 4:58 pm by newsdeskinternational

It seems Octomom Nadya Suleman does have a reality show in the works.  It seems she has negotiated a deal with some network or online company to carry her story to the world.  The Octomom has worked a deal that begins as soon as the eighth baby is brought home.

Nadya Suleman’s reality show is supposed to chronicle the lives of the octomom and her 14 kids, 24/7.  But this show comes with a twist.  They will also be following Nadya Suleman as she attempts to find a person to have a relationship with. As Serafin explained, it would be a cross between “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ and “The Bachelor.”

It is unknown what media entity will be carrying the OctoMom and her reality show.  Nadya Suleman did have one major request from whoever is producing the reality show: They could not use the term “OctoMom” in connection with the show.

What makes the OctoMom’s actual reality show particularly newsworthy is her abject hypocrisy with regard to it. Although she has obviously been maneuvering toward a reality show of some sort since the octuplets were born (and many believe is the sole reason for having the octuplets to begin with), she has denied any such inclination.

She even told TMZ right after the octuplets were born that to involve her children in a reality show would be exploitation. “Issues” rolled the clip where an unknown questioner asked if she would do a reality show after her children were “all grown up.” She said, “No, I think that’s exploitation of my kids.”  But having their lives documented 365 days a year, 24 hours a day when they’re babies, infants, toddlers, and young children is not exploitation?

Some are defending the Octomom’s actions, saying she’s taking control of her life, and getting off welfare, and providing for her family.  And they may be correct.  But her plan all along was one of self promotion and fame seeking.  From the moment she reportedly said she would like to become a talk show consultant on family matters to the highly publicized first breakdown in negotiations with the nonprofit nursing organization Angels in Waiting because they refused to allow a reality show to be filmed while they cared for the octuplets, the OctoMom has steered a course straight for attention and fame.

Having octuplets got her attention.  Her socioeconomic situation and her seeming detachment from reality brought her a notorious type of fame. Involvement with Dr. Phil McGraw only brought more attention. And all the while she professed not to want further attention, she appeared on countless radio interviews, television interviews, and in magazine interviews.

Octuplet mom hires security after child seat is hurled into her minivan

Octomom has now hired security guards her attorney said Wednesday, the day after someone hurled a car seat through the window of her minivan that was parked outside her home.  Hmm, more expense….

La Habra police said a nanny heard the sound of a crash about 3 a.m. When the day-shift nannies arrived about 7 a.m., they saw the van’s window had been smashed.

Police have no suspects.

Suleman has complained about the crush of paparazzi and gawkers since she moved to La Habra last month.

Also, the seventh of her babies has been released from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower. Hospital officials confirmed that Josiah Angel, also known as “Baby G,” was released Wednesday afternoon. He weighs 4 pounds, 8 ounces. “Every day that passes is a milestone in the lives and care of the octuplets,” said Dr. Mandhir Gupta, the octuplets’ neonatologist. “Being able to send another baby home is a significant step in their development.” Only one more baby remains hospitalized and continues doing well, a hospital spokesman said.

Octuplet mom interested in reality show

Nadya Suleman and six of her octuplets are photographed together for the first time on the cover of In Touch Weekly.   On the cover she appears with Isaiah, Noah, Nariah, Maliah, Makai, and Jeremiah.  Theother two babies, Jonah and Josiah still remain in the neonatal care unit at the Kaiser Permanante Medical Center in Bellflower, Calif.

They need a little more time to develop, grow, and tolerate food.

The accompanying piece details the conflict between Suleman, who has fought to raise all 14 of her children on her own, and the concerns of TV shrink Dr. Phil McGraw and attorney Gloria Allred.

Gloria Allred, an attorney for Angels in Waiting, says, “These babies should be placed in foster care.”  “There they would receive the individualized care that the babies need and deserve.”

Suleman admits in the magazine interview that her babies’ homecoming was a “total fiasco,” She had a “meltdown” and fired Angels in Waiting on March 22 after she accused them of spying on her.   She felt ostracized, and like a stranger in her own home.

Last week, Allred told TODAY that Suleman is more interested in cameras than the babies.   “There’s only a few hours beyond the time when the cameras were rolling that she actually came into the nursery when she was there to care for her babies, and that’s wrong,” Allred said on March 25.

Suleman told the magazine she was interested in a reality show as soon as her last two sons come home from the hospital.  A deal is in place for her to be filmed 24/7. “It’s about Nadya trying to raise 14 children while looking for love,” the insider explains.

But Suleman has one condition, no more calling her “Octomom”…..Suleman says she hates that name and that has to be part of the deal that it won’t be included in the show’s title.

The In Touch article also addresses questions about Suleman’s sanity. Some of her neighbors in La Habra, Calif., are convinced she needs psychiatric help. “I really can’t believe anyone can be that screwed up in the head,” Debra Collins tells the magazine.

Adds another neighbor, Gloria Beck, “The woman is completely nuts. She thinks she’s famous. She doesn’t know that people are laughing at her, that she’s a freak.”  The issue is available on newsstands April 3.
